FALL INTO READING CHALLENGE 2012!

Update as of December 12th:  I finished another novel from the original list below and am on the library "waiting list" for numbers 7 and 10.  I just started a new novel titled The Whisperer.  Hopefully I'll finish it before the 21st!!

UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 1st:  well, I am having very bad luck (not that I believe in luck but....you know what i mean!). I started the book by Francine Rivers listed at the end of this post and once again, I had a book from the library that I just.could.not.get.into. The characters were driving me crazy right from the get-go! WHINY!!! I was not into this book AT ALL!  So...I am now trying #6 on this original list: Saving CeCe Honeycutt. Several bloggers and my sister Hope have recommended this book so I am gonna read it. So far so good! (I made it past chapter 2..that's a good sign! LOL)

BOOKS I WANT TO READ FOR THE READING CHALLENGE
  1. The Innocent by David Baldacci (am in the middle of it)...a secular fiction mystery set in Washington, DC completed on Sept 28th
  2. The Mid-Wife's Confession by Diane Chamberlain (fiction) completed on Oct 5th
  3. Bad Little Falls by Paul Doiron (mystery) completed on Oct 17th
  4. Until We Reach Home by Lynn Austin (historical fiction/Christian) completed on Nov 24th
  5. Angel Sister by Ann Gabhart (Christian fiction/family drama)
  6. Saving CeCe Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman (set in the deep south) completed on Dec 12th
  7. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (mystery)
  8. The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman (set in Australia)
  9. What If Your Blessings Come Through Raindrops by Laura Story (Devotional book) completed on Nov 2
  10. Zoo by James Patterson (mystery/suspence)
  11. Low Pressure by Sandra Brown
  12. The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult (this hasn't been released yet so it will probably be on my Winter list!)
  13. 11th Hour by James Patterson (was on my spring and summer list!) completed on Oct.29th
  14. Home Front by Kristen Hannah (was on my spring list!)...the library finally had both books available!   completed on Nov 9th
I'm also starting a new small group study book titled Living Intimately:Lessons from the Upper Room from The Fresh Life series

And currently I am reading Philippians and Deuteronomy in the Bible.

I also read Today's Christian Women magazine online.

UPDATE AS OF NOV 24th: I am just starting a novel entitled Faith that I found at the towne library.

UPDATE AS OF NOV 27th: The novel Faith by Jennifer Haigh was one I could NOT get into. Maybe it's because it centers around the Catholic church and I am not Catholic. Not sure. Just wasn't my kind of book.  I am now starting a Christian historical fiction one titled The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers.

What are you planning on reading this fall??
