Yeah! We are getting our first real snowstorm today! This is most unusual for our part of NYS...it usually waits until after Christmas! But...the weather forcast is for 4-6" in my part of the state, and up to 9" just southeast of us. My children must be so thrilled to look out their classroom windows and see real snow falling down this early! My oldest might be bummed out because this means her after school club event is cancelled....they just cancelled all after school clubs and evening events. I think she will be thrilled, though, to walk in the kitchen door and smell the Santa Thumbprint cookies I am baking.
What are you thankful for today?
- I am thankful for the snow today as it forces me to be inside to do some holiday baking, some gift wrapping, playing carols, and just relaxing with a good book. I need this kind of afternoon as we all do during this hectic holiday time!
- I am very thankful for all the dear friends who blessed me with gorgeous birthday cards and wishes this past weekend....I love you all!
- I'm thankful for great neighbors who are also close friends and fellow Believers. Although they attend a different church from us, they pray for us and situations and we do the same for them. They need prayer right now for their dog, Hannah. She is quite ill with a disease from a tick (not lyme disease but it is carried by the same tick). So....if you are a praying person, please lift up Paul and Melissa's dog for a complete healing. (and that their daughters Morgan and Meredith would have peace)

Enjoy your snow! In the PNW we don't have snow very often... I love it. We usually try to go up into the mountains over the holidays to get that "wintry"feeling. :~D
Today I'm thankful for a family to clean house for, and blogging friends like you. :~D
Hi e-mom: I am thankful for my new blogging friends, too! Which mountains are you near? I love the mountains...we hike and camp as much as we can come spring! We MIGHT try winter hiking this year...
Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day.
I love snow and I really don't mind shovelling it as long as it's not 2 feet deep. :v0
Oh that poor doggie. And I know all too well that dogs become members of your family, so sending a prayer up for her.
Ain't life grand....
Sorry I missed your birthday. Sounds like you celebrated well.
Beautiful snow and great list. No wimpiness from my perspective.
Have a great Friday!
