Time to list 5 favorite things from the past week.
Here's mine:
These cereal bars by Kashi.
I first heard of them from my friend, Erin (thanks, Erin!!)
They have 3 grams of fiber and made with real fruit!
I found them at Target for a little cheaper than the grocery store.
The blackberry ones are a great mid-morning snack while at the school.
And I am guessing they are gonna make a great hiking snack!

Rick Warren and his prayer at the Inaugeration.
This was definitely one of my fave moments this week.
Also, the fact that as a nation we made history!
We now have the very first African-American President!
Our pastor took my husband and I aside after the 11 a.m. service
to give us a couple of encouraging words.
It was a huge blessing to us.
He is a humble man of God.
His character speaks volumes to us.
It was definitely a fave moment for me.
I took her to Latham Ridge,
a small hill on the playground of one of our local elementary schools.
One of my fave things is watching my children having fun.
Although I do prefer it in the warmer months!

Found this at one of our senior high youth group leaders Facebook account!
This is my daughter, Courtney, worshipping
at the Youth for Christ retreat (Excel!) this past weekend.
She is standing next to her good friend Barrett.
I love that I get a glimpse into her worship!
About 40 teens gave their life to Christ for the first time!
(from a variety of churches from across this part of NY that attended the retreat)
Do you have any favorite things or moments from this past week?
What are they?
To participate, head over to Susanne's.
Or...just let me know in a comment!
Do you have weekend plans?
This weekend we are lying low tonite, just enjoying family time.
Tomorrow a.m. Claire has yet another Dance audition for the spring musical at church. The new show "Pirates of the I Don't Care-ibbean" have 3 dances during 3 songs. She is going to audition for all 3.
We have my husband's co-coordinator of the junior high youth group coming over for dinner on Sunday after church.
We don't have any trips planned or any real obligations so we are looking forward to getting housework done, taxes filed (hopefully!) and just relaxing.
Enjoy the start of the weekend!

What a beautiful gift -- to have a pic of your daughter worshipping! That is what I desire for my kids above all else - that they worship our Lord.
Thanks for sharing!
Oh I just love the pic of Courtney..... you must have been thrilled to see that Faith.
So glad you found the cereal bars :0)
Erin
I just love the picture of Courtney worshiping...how real......good for her.
Loved your list.
Love both pictures of your girls. The one worshipping and the other having fun. I love seeing my kids doing both too.
We're laying low too. It's really cold here again and who wants to be out too much in that. We have a hair appointment and church and that's about it. I see a movie night coming on.
What a sweet surprise to find that picture of your girl worshipping - my daughter is at YWAM in Orlando right now and LOVING it! You're right - there is nothing that makes us happier as believers than to see our children walking in the truth - and having fun - like your girl sledding too! Well, I always say that if we are going to have snow, we might as well find ways to enjoy it!
