Senses in Spring Sunshine

Finding more blessings to be thankful for on the journey to fully live~~ each day, every moment.....

it's early on a mid-June morning, the day after the Princess had her youth group Senior Banquet~  the day after the Ballerina performed on pointe for the first time in public~~  and I see blessings all around me as my senses awaken to this sunshine streaming in through my deck door and the rays land on my arms that are slightly chilled from the early morning air......and I say "Thank You God" for.......

~the smell 

~the sound.........

wind chimes lightly singing over me as I am aware of the One who sings over me...rejoicing...

~more smells...

fragrant, fresh baked cinnamon rolls with the tangy taste of ice cold orange juice...and.....

~the scent of freshly mown grass mingled with turned-over soil and the hot sun streaming on my face reminding me with my senses of summer days spent at my childhood camp....and the woodsy, grassy, soil smell of playing in the ferns.....

~the touch....the happy hugs from my daughters~~

~grandparents watching their 8th Dance Show and clapping proudly for their granddaughter the ballerina...

~ the sight.....the flap of the crow's wing as he swoops off the neighbor's peaked roof~

~and more sounds....the cry of the mourning dove as she nestles among the evergreen branches....the squawk of the noisy bluejay as he lands on the feeder eager for his breakfast.....

~the brightly-hued flowers in the ceramic pitcher lovingly presented to my ballerina from her family...so proud...and so happy that she realized a dream.....and thanking God for her talent.....

and God's Peace that passes my own understanding.....and the awareness of Him....ever present....through my sight.....my touch....my ears.....my mouth....my nose.......and I lift my eyes....and my hands...towards the heavens....and I say "THANK YOU, JESUS!"
