Today's the first day of spring and I am participating in the Spring Reading Thing again, hosted by Katrina from Callapidder Days. Head over there to check out the guidelines and think about reading some good books this spring!
I have a fairly short list because I've been reading all winter long and with spring weather comes time outdoors to hike, kayak, bike, power-walk and do yard work. So...I actually get more reading time done in the winter and summer months (when I am off from work in the classroom).
I always love to read though so here is my list. It's a mix of fiction and non-fiction, Christian and secular. Most books are ones I borrow from our towne's amazing library....we are so thankful for the library!! Some I borrow from one of my sister's and some I might download to my husband's Nook.
MY SPRING READING LIST
- Iron House by John Hart
- The Silver Boat by Luanne Rice
- Never Knowing by Chevy Stevens
- Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges (non-fiction Christian)
- Protecting Your Family by Charles Stanley (small group study/Christian)
- Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult (her latest!!)
- Defending Jacob by William Landay
- The House I Loved by Tatiana de Rosnay (one of my fave authors!)
- Home Front by Kirsten Hannah
- Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado (his latest; non-fiction Christian)
- finish Fresh-Brewed Life by Nicole Johnson
As I finish a book, I will be writing a book review.......
Happy Reading, Everyone!!

I have yet to read a Kristin Hannah book and have seen her on a lot of lists. I do plan on reading Firefly Lane, however, this Spring and am hoping to really enjoy it!
The other 2 authors on your list that I keep hearing wonderful things about and have yet to read anything by are Jodi Picoult and Tatiana de Rosnay. I am challenging myself to read at least one of their books this year!! :)
Happy Spring! Have fun reading! :)
I saw Respectable Sins on Katrina's list and immediately wrote it down. Sounds really good. The only other one on your list that I've heard of is Kristen Hannah one and I haven't read anything by her yet. I'll be looking forward to all your reviews.
Hi Faith, thanks again for your encouraging comments on my blog! I have read "respectable sins" and found it a helpful book.
I have Lone Wolf on hold at the library, but who knows when it will be my turn!!
Happy Reading. :)
You have some good books on your Spring reading list. I really liked Iron House and Never Knowing. Enjoy.
Happy Reading! :)
