exaltation............
..............that raising of the hands, the branches swaying,
donkey keeping time
and delivering the One who would sway on a cross...................
Exalt Him................
..........................give Him praise.......
the words are read with tear-filled eyes on an early, quiet morning from the prophet God called Isaiah
God has done marvelous things, has He not?
I look around my backyard, snow slowly seeping into the ground leaving wet -soaked grass about to come alive again............
..............I see the material blessings He has granted me.....
and the blessings like my daughters, husband, friends, church community
...............people who love Him and exalt Him this day across the miles, the years, the centuries..........
and I marvel at the prophet-breathed words to the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob........
"O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth." Isaiah 25:1
"for You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat......He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces....." Isaiah 25: 4, 8a
Exalt Him..............
the man on the donkey riding towards the ones who would mock Him
murder Him
and Him extending grace
and mercy
and forgiveness
Love
Exalt Him, the One who brings new life to our winters
the One who allows us to know the Truth of His Word
and His faithfulness.............
Exalt Him!

There really are very many blessings immediately right around us given to us by Him! Exalt the Lord, indeed!
