I'm joining Jerralea's Journey blog as we number gifts He's given us during the month of November. Each day I'll be sharing five things that I am thankful for. Doing that for 30 days will produce 150 things we are grateful for...and it's easy to find those gifts if we take a moment to look. You are welcome to join in! Just head over to Jeri's!
Today I am thankful for:
- Our church's newly hired Worship Arts Director. We've been looking for the last 2 years for a worship leader and the Lord brought a young man and his new bride to us from SC. We are so thankful he is here!!
- Hymns (old and new) and contemporary worship songs. I love music and I especially love the praise and worship at church on Sundays.
- My pastor. He is truly remarkable. A humble man of God who really knows how to lead a church. We are most blessed. I learn something every single week.
- Scripture readings. I love that our church sometimes does corporate Scripture readings. There's nothing like hearing about 800 people (or more!) lifting up their voices in praise to our King.
- Communion. I love this sacrament. As a corporate body, we do Communion the first Sunday of each month. In our church it is a quiet, respectful and sacred time. We are so thankful for this.
What things are you thankful for today?

What a beautiful list, Faith. I'm especially blessed by the words you've shared about your pastor. I've always found that it is the humble men who lead best. I think so often we confuse "aggressive" with leadership. I much prefer the one who goes along quietly leading others by example.
Love your list Faith! Communion is a wonderful thing. One our church does not do often enough, about 3 times a year.
I think I might mention it to our pastor... I think it should be more often. :)
I love the combination of contemporary praise and worship and the old hymns. I'm so glad that you have a new worship leader. Praise and worship is such an important way to get us ready to hear God's Word.
