Praise Post #5

I'm  joining Jerralea's Journey blog as we number gifts He's given us during the month of November.  Each day I'll be sharing five things that I am thankful for.  Doing that for 30 days will produce 150 things we are grateful for...and it's easy to find those gifts if we take a moment to look.  You are welcome to join in!  Just head over to Jeri's.

Today I am most thankful for:

  1.  Helpful co-workers. There are 3 of us in the Integrated Kindergarten classroom and 18 children, 8 of whom have special needs. I am very thankful we all get along, and enjoy working alongside each other.
  2. A car in good condition.  I'm thankful I don't need a new car yet.  It's now 8 years old and still in very good condition. It has not needed anything major in the last 8 years.  This is a true blessing.
  3. Frozen yogurt.  I don't eat dessert every night like I used to in my 30s.....now that I'm 54 I have really cut back on sweets every day.  But sometimes, like tonight, a small dish of fro yo just hits the spot!
  4. Gift Cards from students.  A student I work with gave me a coffee gift card. I treated my self today to a hot caramel coffee......it was perfect for running errands while Claire was at ballet class tonight. Those little gifts are a true blessing!
  5. The power of prayer.  I am very thankful that there is power in prayer.  Praying is something I find my self doing more and more of lately.....for various reasons.  I'm thankful we have a God who hears our every concern.

What are YOU thankful for today??
