Breaking Free

driving along doing the mundane, the errands, the after dinner chores..........

grey clouds scudding fast across the sky...........

matching the grey thoughts, the  gloomy mood, the sighs of just another evening doing chores and rushing around...........

and forgetting to thank the One Who allows the rushing around, the One who breathes life into my body, the One who protects my children, my husband............the One who sees all, knows all, is everywhere..........

and then.....................

.................. the breaking free................

the sun pouring out light from behind the shadows of grey.............

...........reminding me of the Son who pours out His Light from around the shadows of my heart........

.............the One who does this continually when I remember to pause.............

................the One who allowed me to break free from those shadows...........

.............and Who continues to break us free....................

.like the sun bursting forth behind the clouds.................our gloomy thoughts and darkened mood and sin-state............can be awash in His Light........
