It seems funny to think of things after just celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday but....as Believers we need to always be thanking God for what He bestows on us. Even the trials that come our way. There is always some thing to be thankful for! So....here is my list for today.
- Fleece headbands. I am thankful for these winter headbands that come in all colors and are so inexpensive because neither of my daughters wear hats. And because the wind was very brisk and cold this morning, they needed them at the bus stops.
- For old friends! I ran into a woman whom I have been friends with since 1988....hadn't seen her since Feb of 2006! She was able to catch me up on her family (she has 5 kids) and I was most especially pleased to hear about her oldest daughter. Her oldest is a dear girl. She was one of our first babysitters when my girls were little and she is an amazing, talented, strong Christian young lady. My husband and I have always had a special place in our hearts for Danielle. (I used to teach her piano, too and she was one of my better students!). Anyways: I am thanking the Lord for her as she will be training to be a teacher starting in June 2008! Iwas so excited to hear that she won a special grant/place with Teach America and will be serving with the Native American population in NM for a couple of years. This warmed my heart...maybe because of the type of children I have been teaching over the years or maybe because I love hearing about Christians going in to the teaching field and viewing it as ministry...which is what I do and now I am learning that this is how Danielle is viewing her future career: as a mission field...thank you Jesus!
- For my oldest daughter who helped with some kitchen chores yesterday when she would rather be on the computer....thank you Courtney!
- For the leaders of HizKidz Praise! ministry at church and their hard work in getting the Christmas musical ready. My 8 year old is learning alot about drama and spiritual lessons by being in this ministry. AND I am thankful she has a chance to use her secular ballet training for the Lord this season!

Such a great list, Faith. I love those headbands, too, and would much rather wear them than a hat any day. I found them at a place here locally for less than $2.
