"Even when the rainbow seems to pass right by me....I'm still finding Gold in the clouds....."

25 January 2008

Thank the Lord for Subway and a husband willing to stop there to get dinner on his way home from work! Subs, raw veggies and dip, iced tea/milk, chocolate mint pie for dessert and movie nite with the girls (well, actually one girl and a hubby; the 14 yr old is going out to a movie at the mall with a friend).....couldn't be better for this frigid day and a mom who is too tired to cook!
Not sure why I feel so tired but it most likely is because I have not done any power-walking or major work out all week. I did lots of housework but it just isn't the same as getting out and doing my power-walking! My goal is to get out tomorrow and do my 2 miles. So...for now...around our house tonite, we will indulge in our favorite subs, some pie and cuddle up with our fleece blankets in the family room. And hopefully both girls will sleep in tomorrow a.m.! Whatever you do around your house this weekend....enjoy, praise the Lord and see you Sunday!

Sounds like you guys had a nice, cozy evening at home. I love to stay in with the fam...just enjoying time together when it's oh so cold outside. That's the best!

I can totally relate to feeling drab when I don't get my workout in for the day. I try to go to the gym and workout at leat 4 times a week. When I don't get that workout in the for the day...I can definitely tell a diffence in my energy level.

Hope you got your 2 miles in =-)

Hi Mrs C: thanks for stopping by! That is great that you did your 2 miles! I'll bet your weather is alot nicer for walking out doors than ours is right now! :)

Hi Jennifer: I keep thinking I should join a gym...it's been years since I went to one. I tend to do my own workout in my basement or outside due to time constraints but..a gym would be nice too! and no, unfortunately I got my first cold of the school year so stayed in and drank hot tea! Ah well....

I really need to get back to some kind of exercise. I feel exhausted all the time.

Hi Susanne: well yeah! You work with preschoolers...they sure are tiring at times! I am beat just after my a.m. time in the classroom...I have forgotten what it is like to work all day! Exercise really does give us more energy. I am determined to stick to a good workout!
