Menu of the Week

Been busy so far today, our first day of Spring Break! Last year at this time we were touring Pittsburgh, Hershey and Lancaster Co in PA. The girls were a little disappointed that we aren't doing a big vacation this April, but, with the bedroom makeover and the fact that my husband really doesn't have much time to take off from work right now, we decided to use his time for summer vacation this year, and day trips. Plus with the price of gas right now.......

Today I accomplished quite more than I expected for a Monday!

Laundry is totally caught up...yeah!

We took a shopping trip to Old Navy so tomorrow's treasures and tips will be about the great deals you can get this week at that fun, trendy store. The prices were great!! I even took pics!

All that's left today, before carting Claire off to an extra ballet class, before dinner, is finish cleaning the downstairs bathroom, finish preparing the homemade chicken soup for tonite's dinner, teach my oldest how to make biscuits to go with the soup, and then answer a bunch of emails. I also want to review my Sunday Sermon notes. Our pastor preached on the parable of the men with the talents. It was a fantastic sermon. He is doing a series about our time/talents/treasure to prepare us for giving towards our new satellite church. I took lots of notes! And once again, he has study notes for the week's personal or small group devotion time. I love this about my pastor!

How about you? What have you been able to accomplish today? How was your Sabbath?

  • Mon: Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, Biscuits, Pear/Apple mix
  • Tues: Italian Pork Chops, Garlic Cous-Cous, Tossed Salad, Steamed Corn
  • Wed: Grilled Lemon Salmon, Chive Rice, Steamed Broccoli, Fruit Cup
  • Thur: Pizza Noodle Bake, Fully Loaded Salad
  • Fri: Grilled "California style" Burgers, Potato Salad, Raw Veggie platter and Ranch Dip
  • Sat: Cobb Salad Sandwiches, Chips, Fruit Salad (turkey hotdogs for the girls)

Yummy! Cobb salad sandwiches sound wonderful!

I can't see an email button in your profile so I'll answer what smokies are here. They're a type of big fat sausage. There are different kinds like regular, italian, cheese. They fit great into mini sub buns or hot dog buns and are wonderful done up on the grill. (Here's a pic. In fact I think these are the very ones I have in the fridge. :v) ).
