I was looking at the calender this morning before work and thought "whoa...it's June 1st already??"
That means the princess(our 17 yr old) only has 8 more days of classes and then her Regents Physics exam.
It's June 1st already!! That means in 17more days our baby (the ballerina) goes on her last elementary field trip...to Boston... and already only 17 more days until she performs on pointe for the very first time, and dances in 2 other ballet numbers.....and then 22 more days until the 6th grade Dance...and 23 more days until she graduates and moves up to the Junior High School.......
It's June 1st already!! That means in 6 more days the princess will perform on violin in her very last high school Orchestra concert....and it's already time in 17 days for her church youth group Senior Banquet...and in 25 more days she will graduate from high school......
Already.
It's already time to start sending out the grad party invites.
It's already time to start mailing the graduation announcements to far away friends and relatives we know won't be able to make the party.
It's already time to get the dance costumes ready for the Ballet Show.....
it's already time to buy teacher gift certificates....
it's already time to start setting aside college dorm stuff.....
it's already time to study for finals, exams, clean out the desks.....and the lockers....and say good bye to some friends... and Hello to some new ones....
it's already time for me to pray about next year's ministry opportunities....(I'm thankful to know that the small group will continue on(everyone is loving it!!) .....am just praying about the Moms in Touch group)....
it's already time for my husband and I to plan our 21st wedding anniversary....
amidst the chaos of planning for this graduation party....
it's time for me to formulate my thoughts to a friend who is estranged from me.....a letter that has been needing to be written....but I needed to give it time...and it's time....already.....
it's time to do a lot of things....to stop and pause, reflect on what the year has brought...and the changes that are happening.....
it's time to allow God to work in our lives.....
And as I look around outside this afternoon, I marvel at the flowers I see....it's already time for the irises to be blooming.....and the peonies...and the impatiens.....it's already time to eat dinners on the deck...and enjoy these last couple weeks of spring.....because summer will be here and I'll be saying...."it's summer.....already...."

I thought the same thing! June already? Where on earth did May go? I haven't got all my flowers in yet due to the wet, crummy weather. Today I'm finishing no matter what which means I'll be digging in mud because things haven't dried out yet.
I can't believe Claire will be starting junior high!!!!!!
I love the flower pics. I just love all of my flowers it is my favorite thing about spring and summer.
Susanne: yes, our flowers are late this year too due to the rainy spring...these that I'm showing are perennials so they come up no matter what (other than the petunias which I just bought last weekend)...happy planting!!
Erin: I know!!! I gotta stop by your place and see your blooms! so glad that high humidity broke..waaaayy too early for that!
Time sure is a-flyin'! We're out of school now and ready for a slower pace. Have a great month! :)
I can't believe it's June either. I love your It's almost time post would you mind if I borrow the "It's almost time" scenario for my blog? I haven't updated it in a very long time. I still need to post prom pics and other busyness of the season posts but the "It's almost time" has a very nice ring to it to use eventually.
