A break.....

Hi blogging friends!

Well, i'm in the last month of summer vacation and it's been almost 3 weeks of back pain/sciatica pain for me. It is getting worse rather than better so.....

I'm now contacting my doctor, and then contacting a chiropractor that 2 friends have recommended.

I haven't been in pain like this since having lyme disease...and that was more of a muscle and joint thing......like the flu....with joint pain.  This is actually worse because so far nothing is really working!!

Thankfully, Aleve is taking the edge off but.... I don't really want to take too much of that.....

so....I'm exploring the more natural approach of what chiropractors do.

I've got a couple of friends who have had sciatica before and herniated disks and they still struggle with it!

My husband and I are asking the Lord to fully heal my body and restore my back to what it was.......

The physical therapists think I twisted wrong or something while painting that week the pain started.

At any rate....I'll be off here for a bit.....

I will try to do the Friday Fave Fives hosted by Susanne......

for now.....I need to exercise, muddle through what housework I can get done, spend alot of time in the Word and with my girls......

........and going to appointments!!

I covet your prayers!!

Thanks and enjoy the week!!

I'll be praying that you get some relief from the pain. I *heart* my chiropractor. I find that a visit every 4-6 weeks keeps me in a pain-free maintenance mode.

Oh no Faith.....that is NOT fun! The chiropractor is a good idea. I have been going to one for 2 years now and it really helped. The only bummer is they want you to go to a ton of appointments in the beginning. I hope you can find some kind of relief...praying for you my friend!!!

Hi Sandy!! Well, my doc is back from HER vacation and was NOT thrilled that a back xray wasn't ordered by the first doc who saw me. SO...she ordered one, I have to call later this morning for the results. She put me on a steroid to reduce inflammation and gave me a strong pain killer that i don't wanna rely on but took last night and this morning. she said once the steroid kicks in I hopefully won't need a pain killer. She wants me to keep going to PT but by the end of next week if I am not better then I am calling the chiro. The first one I called no longer takes my insurance. I went to one a long time ago for back pain due to excessive shoveling and she nipped it in the bud in just 4 sessions. it was GREAT! yeah..they want us to keep going cause they want to bill our insurance! thank the Lord my copay is only $10! Thank you for your prayers...How are YOU doing??
