There's Confidence in the Knowing...

It was foggy when I first awoke at 7 a.m.

By 7:45 I was out the door .......to......

 power walk!

The first power walk since injuring my back in July.  The chiro said to try it but to take it easy........so....

I started out in fog. It was early Saturday and no one was around the neighborhood streets........a quietness in this fog.......

I was determined that nothing was going to stop me on my first power walk in months.....a little fog would lift.......

At first I was walking slowly to warm up....and wondering if the fog would lift....it was actually quite heavy and seemed like it might stick around through the morning.....

but....

as you can see by this photo which I snapped with my cell phone, it did lift....after about 20 minutes of walking.....(note the little bit of fog left in the back right side near the house).

A registered historical landmark for our town

............as I was walking and starting to speed up, I thought about how we just "know" that the fog will eventually lift.....and the day will get brighter....the sun will come out........

It's a confidence we have....that knowing.....

and it reminds me of the Scripture from I John 5:11-13

"And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.  These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."

Sure enough, the sun came out in all its glory...shining and turning the neighborhood a golden glow with the colors of autumn all around.....and reminding me of the Son who shines in and through us......chasing away the shadows, lifting us out of the fog in to His marvelous Light.....

we have a knowing....a confidence that if we accept and believe the Name of Jesus....the Son of God...that we can have eternal life...

it's in the knowing.........

...........the believing in the Light of the world...............

I actually love foggy mornings! So nice that you are back to your walking. That scripture is such a blessing and builds faith.
