For Today... Monday 1 June 2015
Outside my window...twilight has just faded to darkness and the rain is gently falling like it has for most of the day...........we are thankful....we needed it.
I am thinking...about all the relatives I will see tomorrow at my aunt's funeral. Glory to God, she is with the Lord, her precious Savior!
I am thankful...for a husband who provides well for me and the girls' needs....physical, emotional, and spiritual.
I am wearing...my rose and leaf patterned cotton summer pajamas with a Gordon College sweatshirt over them, along with pink fuzzy socks because the house is chilly......it feels nice to be home and out of work clothes, relaxing before bed!
I am creating...a new journal of Scriptures and paper-cuttings.
I am going...to the southern Adirondacks tomorrow for my aunt's funeral. It is being held in the Baptist church in the small village where she was born, raised and lived most of her life.
I am wondering...when my recently college- graduated daughter is going to start sending out her resume!
I am reading...this book for fun
and this book for learning
I am hoping...my youngest daughter has a productive work/study group tomorrow for her AP English project!
I am learning...to take things one day at a time and

In my garden...I live in the suburbs so it's hard to have a real garden but I do have deck containers and a little flower garden in the front yard. Here are some new deck flowers! Please excuse the appearance of the deck...due to a very busy spring, we haven't had a chance to wash and re-paint!
In my kitchen... we had tomato-basil soup and grilled cheese sandwiches tonight for meatless Monday.....perfect for the chilly, rainy day and for the early meal we have to cram down our throats due to the ballerina needing to get to dance class by 5:30 pm. Thankfully some soup was left for hubby!
A favorite quote for today...
One of my favorite things...

I'm learning to "Just Breathe," too. It is really hard!
I love your quote about books. I totally agree.
It looks like one of your pots of deck flowers has purple petunias in it. I just put a container of them on my porch. I love the purple ones, they look so velvety.
I'm sorry for the loss of your aunt. How wonderful the church where she went all her life can be used for her final service!
So sorry to hear of your aunt's passing. I know that you see her again in heaven and your faith will sustain you here on earth :-) I love these Day Book posts. They are so interesting and we all get to know each other a little better. I think I will join in when I get a minute this week. Have a good one!
