Sitting in my living room, with my morning coffee, the house all quiet....oldest daughter left for work at 5:15, my husband and senior girl left for work/high school at 6:45...laundry is done spinning waiting to be put in dryer.....
....and here I sit. Every intention of getting up and out the door for my HiiT routine. Which I will do right after this reflective post.
Looking at the sun shining on the neighbors' maple tree...a dusky burnt orange now that we are in the midst of November. and for some reason the hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness" popped into my head.
God is faithful. Yes, He is. He is faithful and His mercies are new every single morning.
I love that hope! I love the promises He makes and that we can read again and again and get from our mind into our heart.
He is faithful. No matter what is going on around us....no matter how bleak your finances look, your future, your past, your present.....whatever is going on around you and in you, remember that HE IS FAITHFUL!!
He wants to spend time with us.
He craves that intimacy with us and we sure do need that intimacy with Him.
I crave time with God.....I so want to hear that still, small Voice showing me the plan and purposes He has for me.
When I don't hear that Voice, it is usually because I'm too busy "doing".
So this morning....I'm setting out on my walk earlier than usual for this time of year.
Hat, gloves, fleece, socks in sneakers, coat zipped up and I'm heading out.
To talk to Him
To praise Him
To seek Him
To remember His faithfulness.
