Well, we went from those frigid temps to spring like temps to no snow on the ground to a new 5 inches! Wednesday I woke up with a text from the school where I teach to be told it was a snow day! Our 2nd one for the school year. Even though snow brings aggravations like slower travel, cold temps and shoveling, I'm still finding reasons to be thankful.
How about joining in with those of us participating in the FIVE FAVES where we give thanks for the big and little things God blesses us with. We connect over at Susanne's site.
- HOT HERBAL TEA: a new fave flavor. After dinner. Steaming hot. Bliss on a cold winter's eve.

- SLEEP PANTS: my oldest gal surprised me by picking up a pair of "on clearance" pajama bottoms......Soft knit. Pockets. Warm. Comfy. For bed. For lounging. love them!
- EXCELLENT GRADES! Claire, the youngest, just finished up her 1st semester of college at UNH and we finally got the grades this past week. 3.73!! double major in Honors Russian and Honors Sociology with the minor in Dance. She's ready to go back for 2nd semester tomorrow. My heart is happy that she's thriving.
- CHOCOLATE FOR A CAUSE: decadent. fair trade. 10% profits go to help protect animals. Great flavor! Many items are vegan! a little bit every couple days ....pure luxury.
- PROGRESS! A few of the students I work with each morning in a small language/cognitive group are really making progress with their speech and language skills. That's always a good thing and something this teacher is thankful for.

Well lots of positives there and yay for a snow day. And well done to Claire. You must be very proud. And chocolate? What's not to like :)
Good work, Claire! How fun to have an unexpected day off! The sleep pants look warm and comfy. It's so great to see progress with your students.
Oh my....comfy pajamas and a hot cup of tea. That sounds wonderful.
What a great week! You found some great things to be thankful for. Congrats on the daughter's great grades!
Lemon ginger tea is so good! So is ginger turmeric which we get at Trader Joe's.
Congrats to Claire on the excellent semester!
Whew, very behind in commenting this week but I finally made it here. I love herbal teas in the evenings. My favorites are organic peppermint and Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice. Congrats to Claire on her hard work and good grades. Great start to her college career. Isn't wonderful when you see progress the little ones under your charge. There is nothing like it.
