Christmas Eve.
Snow glistening on the ground from lights lit
to chase the darkness away.............
candles glowing brightly........
.......cookies in tins and stars on the tree
reminding me of the Gift that was under that long ago Star..........
Love came down.
First as a baby to grow to a man......Messiah.....
and God incarnate hung on that Cross to redeem our lives
and He comes again..........one day...........bringing with Him the gift of LIFE and Peace eternal.
and while we wait, and celebrate, and praise and give thanks, we can have that Peace right now.............
because Love came down.
Jesus brings Peace with a Joy everlasting...............
because He came down.
