It was a sunny day in the southern Adirondacks. Crisp, a blanket of light snow on the ground...bare in certain spots...and dark in the woods. The sun would shine through the pines, though, and it seemed to light our path.......
In looking back at some of my hiking photos from the month of December, I see that many of them have bright spots of sunlight shining through the woods...or on the partially frozen pond. My friend Ping and I were hiking in a beautiful nature refuge. The photo above is one of my faves because it reminds me of this Scripture:
When we are Believers, we have the love and light of God in our hearts. And it will shine out...we can shine the Light of the Gospel of Jesus....bringing the good news of salvation to people who don't know Him.
Light dispels darkness......every.single. time.
Nothing can hide in the darkness when light suffuses it. Shadows may linger......but the light will chase it away.
When we face dark times....trials in our personal or spiritual lives.....we will have moments when all we see are the shadows...the edges of things....but if we bring God to the trial.....when we fully trust Him to shine His Light on our darkness, He brings with that Light, a sense of peace. A sense of hope....at least that's what I feel when I allow His Light to chase away my own shadows. He can give us clarity about a situation. He can bring us peace while we walk through that dark valley...no matter what it is. Let Light lead the way.
Let the Light shine through and He will get the glory.

I love when the light shines through the trees.
We must be lights in the darkness of the world. :)
You are right - Light does dispel dankness every single time!
