I'm participating in the Sunday Stealing questions again this week. I'm killing time waiting for my husband to be ready to go with me to pick up Chinese food for dinner. You can participate in this Sunday meme by heading over here.
1. Are you afraid of the dark? Nope. But we do have a night light that comes on in the guest room and one in the master bathroom when it gets dark as we both sometimes get up in the middle of the night for water or to use the bathroom.
2. Can you curl your tongue? Nope. But my mom could and I think my oldest girl can.
3. Can you wiggle your ears? Yes, with my fingers!
4. Did you ever participate in a talent show? Yes, in the 8th grade talent show when I was 14. I played a piano solo "The Entertainer" from the movie "The Sting".
5. Do you have any piercings or tattoos? yup. Both ears are pierced and I'm trying to work up the courage to get a dragonfly tattoo near my ankle. My youngest daughter has beautiful tattoos: a cross that looks like 2 nails (to represent her faith); the word "love" in Russian, the word "Unlearn" to represent her sociology degree, a vine up her arm and a Degas ballerina on the other upper arm.
6. Do you prefer Mac or PC? APPLE all the way!! Macbook Pro for me.
7. Do you still have your wisdom teeth? The bottom only came in partially and have never bothered me so never got them removed. The top ones never came in.
8. Do you watch cartoons? nope
9. Have you ever been hospitalized? No for an illness or surgery; yes for both natural births.
10. Have you had braces? Nope. Parents couldn't afford them and I definitely needed them on the bottom.
11. Were you ever a Girl or Boy Scout? (Or a brownie) Nope. Mainly because mom and dad had us enrolled in the Methodist CYC program (Christian Youth Crusaders). I can't remember the names of the different rankings. Think co-ed girl scouts but with a faith based theme. I was in that from prek-6th grade.
12. What is one food you refuse to eat? beef
13. What's the most expensive item of clothing that you own? Probably my wedding gown or the ski jacket my wealthy sister in law bought me from Europe.
14. What's your favorite foreign food? I love most Thai and Japanese food but my absolute fave was a crepe I had in France. I don't think I have an absolute fave though. I like a variety of different cultural foods.
15. Who's your favorite fictional character? OOh...that's a tough one because I'm an avid reader of several series......hm.....I love Kay Scarpetta (the forensic pathologist/detective created by one of my fave authors ever, Patricia Cornwell); I love Alex Cross created by James Patterson; and I love Jean Valjean from Les Miserables. If I have to choose just one it's Jean Valjean. What a perfect depiction of a life redeemed.
These were fun questions!
And now it's time to dash out for dinner!

You make me want crepes!
Kay Scarpetta is cool. I heard that Netflix is going to do a series based on the early Cornwell books. I hope it comes to pass.
The first time I ever had a crepe was in 1991 or '92 in Montreal, the old part of the city. It was FABULOUS!
I, too, love Alex Cross and Kay Scarpetta. I couldn't name all of my favorites! I love to read. I hope you have a great week!!
These are always interesting as they give you a peek into other people's lives. We have similar tastes in author's as well!
