I saw the "Sunday stealin'" questions for the first time this morning when I was reading my blogging friend Deb's blog from over here. So since I didn't really care for today's Hodgepodge questions and have a super busy morning, I thought I'd do this today. I had a very busy weekend and didn't even have time to blog or read blogs so here goes.
Four 5's
FIVE things on my to-do list:
1. Proverbs class homework
2. shop for Operation Christmas Child
3. Mow the front yard and possibly backyard
4. prep my notes for small group
5. practice the alto part in the 2 new choir songs for xmas eve
FIVE snacks I enjoy:
1. Macrobars found here. (i always have one in my backpack for hikes)
2. the nut packs pictured above (I take them hiking)
3. fresh clementines
4. Oatly brand coffee ice cream found here. I can make a pint last 5 days!
5. warm chocolate croissant from *bucks
FIVE places I have lived:
1. Herkimer, NY
2. Rochester, NY
3. Missouri (for 2 weeks...LONG story)
4. Albany, NY
5. North Colonie, NY
FIVE jobs I have held:
1. factory administrative assistant (summer job for 2 years)
2. framer in a high end oil painting shop/cashier
3. Substitute (long term) high school vocal music teacher and musical director (1 yr)
4.Crisis center parenting instructor/child development specialist/counselor (5 yrs)
5. Special Education Master Teacher, PreK (1986-1995; 2016-2023: non-profit ageny)
And of course my favorite "job" that never ends: Momma
I have also had these jobs:
1. toddler pool lifeguard (senior year of high school)
2. Babysitter/nanny (from age 12-18; age 23, part time while also working as a drive through cashier for Burger King and then a waitress for 6 months at Ponderosa...this was all before grad school while living in the Rochester area).
3. Daycare (early evening shift: 3 pm-10 pm) at a community college in my hometown area
4. Substitute teacher (18 months) for elementary K, vocal music and junior high music.
5. Fellowship Intern (grad school work) as first a 20 week Special Education prek intern at U Albany and then a 20 week intern as a Special Ed intern for disabled adults at the Center for the Disabled). Pay? $60 a week plus the fellowship which meant FREE tuition for grad school!
6. A one year co-teacher for a private "upper crust" preschool for gifted children. (nannies would bring the children to school!!)
7. Special Education Program aide in public school kindergarten (2007-2015)
