We are all excited about spending the evening together tonite as a family and doing something we started 2 years ago as a new tradition: watching "The Ten Commandments" on television. Rare for us to find something appropriate on a Saturday evening for entire family. Our tv is not on much so this really is a treat.
One of the major networks usually show this old, classic movie on, or just before, Easter. Last year was the first year we allowed Claire to stay up and watch it with us. What a fun time with popcorn, hot cocoa, and all curled up in our lounge wear for "family time". We tend to discuss how Hollywood got some of the Biblical account correct but took liberties with some of it. We like to follow along in Exodus and compare stories. The neat thing for us is that THIS REALLY HAPPENED! Moses really did hear from God and lead the people out of Egypt! God really did write the 10 commandments on tablets of stone. It is an awesome movie and if you have never seen it I encourage you to watch!
