"Even when the rainbow seems to pass right by me....I'm still finding Gold in the clouds....."

I am finally able to post this pic! It is from my husband's company xmas party on 12/6/07. Dave and I are seated in the front and our good friend Helen is in back on left. Her hubby is stationed in Kuwait so he couldn't be here this year. Next to Helen is Cathy, another company wife, and her husband Dan is next to her; he is my husband's colleague. It is nice for my husband that many of his co-workers and a couple of the "higher-ups" are born again Christians. We all go to different churches in the area although Dan and Cathy's son/wife and child are members of our church. The company has the party each year at a very ritzy place near the city of Schenectady, NY which is about 20 min to the west of us. We always have a great time with dinner, dancing and desserts. The band is phenomenal and the drummer is the husband of another friend of mine! (he actually owns the band...they are called The New York Players and they are fantastic!). Anyways....I finally have posted a pic of my self on the internet...yikes. (well, I just got my hair cut in one of those really trendy short cuts so I look a bit different now!)

Well, what a cute couple are you! Your husband looks familiar to me; although I know we have never met.

So do you have one of those sassy haircuts? I'm in dire need of a change. My hair always wants to do the feathered look no matter how hard I straighten it or anything else I try! Oh well, I am stuck in the 80's! Maybe the style will return some day and I will finally be hip...lol!

Hi Amy: believe it or not, my hair also wants to do the feathered thing..no matter what I do with the sides, they always seem to be feathered! So, I have a bob length haircut now, similar to what is in the pic but the top and sides have been "textured" and the look is a short, cropped style that all I need to do is shampoo, gel and finger scrunch. It is awesome, easy and still looks professional enough for my teaching job, and still hip enough for my daughters to think I'm (somewhat!) cool.LOL
