Dave and I are off to a seminar: "Secrets from Marriages that Sizzle". We thought this sounded interesting, particularly because Valentine's Day is coming up this next week! And, our senior pastor and his wife are leading the seminar. We are blessed to be in a church with a strong Marriage Ministry which includes marriage small groups that run classes/groups for 6 weeks at a time covering a variety of topics (we have taken 3 of them), social/group events that are sometimes free, sometimes for a small fee, and sometimes includes childcare!
Today's event does not include childcare so we have our oldest staying home with our youngest. They do well together, so we are free to go! We both need this day away to recharge our selves as a couple......what about you? How do you recharge your marriage and get the sizzle back? I'll be back to share some stuff we learn! But for now.....around our house....a busy but productive weekend is beckoning......

look forward to hearing more Faith. Any marriage tips are great! Esp when you've been with someone for so long...myles and i have been together since 1990. So that's 18 yrs come this May.
I love going away with my man on trips...but last year with Caleb it was more about him than us :)but that was fun, playing parents for the 1st time.
HI Tali: I hope to post some of what I learned, later today. We were married in 1990 also!! (June 30). We waited 3 years to have Courtney as we wanted some time to ourselves and save money to build a house. Plus we had student loans from undergrad days to pay off. Once the kids start coming there is way more expense! But God has been good to us so we try not to complain! Enjoy your Sabbath!
