"It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness
came over the whole land
until about the ninth hour,
for the sun stopped shining.
And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
Jesus called out with a loud voice,
'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit'.
When he had said this, he breathed this last."
Luke 23: 44-46 (NIV)
"and when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus,
heard his cry and saw how he died, he said,
"surely this man was the Son of God!"'
Mark 15: 39 (NIV)
"He humbled Himself
and became obedient to death---
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place
and gave Him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of JESUS every knee should bow
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord...."
Philippians 2: 8b-11a (NIV0

It always amazes me that the centurion recognized who Jesus was especially coming from a totally different belief system. That speaks greatly to me of the love of God.
A very happy and blessed Resurrection Day to you, Faith!
Love and hugs,
Karen
