It's Done!

Claire's bedroom doorway....complete with pom-pom's!

I just had to show a picture of her "ocean animals" (there are more in the closet
and in a bin)...these are her favorites that she has had since toddler days.

The picture to the right is the space above her headboard.
Can you tell she is a ballet dancer?? Those are her first pair of ballet shoes, worn at age 4!

This is the border...she is into butterflies now...underneath this wallpaper and border are
sponge painted blue stars on cream colored paint. I like this new look...very nice for a tween and I told her this will follow her into her teens...I am NOT changing the theme before age 17!

Can you tell I have a tween girl in the house?
High School Musical posters are allowed on this wall only!
I am not sure you can see a clear picture of the lilac walls...but...
this is the wall that her bed is on.


Here is a corner of her room....her dresser is small because her room is small!
She has a twin bed with built in bookshelves as part of the headboard
and 2 drawers under the mattress that hold her extra sheets, pj's
and off-season shirts, tank tops, swimwear, hiking clothes.


Her quilt and pillow sham match the border nicely, don't you think?
She had fun shopping with me for this look.
The butterfly pillow is a "hand-me-down" from her teen sis.
The Hershey pillow was bought spring break '07 on our trip
and of course you see a "build-a-bear" husky and a couple of Webkinz!
What tween room is complete without those???


This is the corner opposite her dresser.
The window is in the middle of the east wall.
The desk was the one I wrote about in a previous post....
the one she wanted for xmas that I worked most of Nov. on!
The chair was bought already finished...
we added a Country Curtain lilac gingham chair pad...
now she can do her homework in comfort!
Her bulletin board with Awana awards and pics is on wall next to desk.
I did allow her to hang 1 Miley Cyrus poster above her desk.
Claire likes her music and books.
The pink and purple bin next to desk holds most of her Webkinz.
The closet is next to that....we won't show a pic of that!
(that's my next task....to re-organize the closet and get out the spring clothing!)

So...that's the room makeover (minus the window treatments...will try to post a pic tomorrow showing that!)

....we like it....it's the only room in the house with wallpaper...but...it came out nice and I am so thankful for my brother in law who did all this work!
Now...I can only hope she will like it when she turns 15!
