She Got In!

Whoo Hoo.....my dancing daughter got into the dances she wanted for the camp she is doing at the end of July! Congrats, Claire!!

The above pic shows the musical that our HizKidz Praise! ministry is doing this summer.

They only have 2 weeks to rehearse. The ministry is hosting a camp for 1 week.
We have had 97 sign up! Several of the 97 have acting, singing and dancing parts.

Children who have parts will rehearse every day the week before. Claire has 3 dances to learn so will have rehearsal every day.

Yes, once again my car will be a taxi.
But...that's ok....it's a great ministry and it gives my 9 year old something to do while her big sister is taking her class.

And since it is summer.....I am free to volunteer my services so am going to be team teaching with a woman whom I worked with in Awana. We have a group of 1st graders at camp....one of my favorite age groups!

I'll be posting pics from the show and talking about camp alot from now until performance nite!

For now.....we are enjoying swimming lessons and a relaxed couple of weeks.
Tomorrow we are going on a picnic with friends after a much needed hair cut. Claire's hair is 15 inches long. No, she doesn't want to donate it to Locks of Love because you have to donate at least 10 inches. She is just getting a couple of inches cut off.
Friday is Independance Day and we have a BBQ planned followed by the Valley Cats minor league baseball game plus the fireworks show they put on at the stadium. The tickets for the minor league here in Albany are only $8.00 and we print them from our own computer.....so much easier than getting there early and standing in line! The fireworks show they put on is about 20 min worth of awesome fireworks.
For now...that is what is happening around our house....

What are you up to?

How fun! I love stuff like that.

What's happening here? We had our holiday yesterday, but forget any bbq'ing or picnicing. After the great deluge, I don't even know if they'll do the fireworks on a different night this week. It's back to work for me for the rest of the week. Nothing exciting.
