Well, it's the end of summer!We're back from our camping/hiking/kayaking/swimming vacation.
The Central Adirondacks were....well....let's just say, that autumn is getting there early this year.
Seriously: the weather was gorgeous although cold in the beginning of the week. I'll give you the exciting details later.
I have a burn. It's not a sunburn. I'll post about that after this weekend.
Something broke. (not our wallets, but something crucial)
It was NOT a boring vacation that is for sure.
But...it WAS peaceful (at times), not buggy, gorgeous weather for the most part, (well, except for the worst storm we have ever experienced in our camper...but..praise the Lord, the camper didn't leak!!) and totally relaxing for everyone.
AND...I saw a loon!!!!!!
FINALLY...a loon for real in the wilderness on the awesome Lewey Lake. I've been waiting over 30 years to see a loon. (I could have cared less in my teens or childhood)...more on that later!However...summer is at an end. It's still hot here in the 'burbs.
But...that autumn feeling is in the air in the village of Indian Lake and north of Wells, NY.
And...next week we deal with back-to-school-clothes shopping.
For now...we will enjoy one last week of summer before we say Hello to school and church activities.

Glad to hear you had a lovely vacation and that you made it home safely. We have one more week too, and it's a busy one.
Glad you are back! It was cool here last week on wed am only 46! Things just started warming up yesterday afternoon. Can't wait to hear about your adventure. You have great weather today for your trip to our favorite place :0), call me tomorrow when you are free.
