FOR TODAY
Outside my Window..Bright, blue sky and sun. COLD!
I am thinking...about the sermon series our pastor has just begun (8 weeks on the Holy Spirit!)
I am thankful for..a warm house
From the kitchen...Italian Pork & Pasta; Steamed mixed veggies; garlic breadsticks
I am creating...a Moms in Touch folder with all our prayer sheets/Scriptures
I am going...to the HizKidz Rehearsal tonite and working as rehearsal assistant.
I am wearing...jeans, aqua cami, blue cropped sweatshirt, blue sox, silver hoop earrings. (out of work clothes due to housework!)
I am reading...Please Forgive Me (for pleasure) (deals with Apartheid in Africa) and The Applause of Heaven(for devotional study). Scriptures: book of Micah and Acts
I am hoping...that my teen does well on her mid-terms this week. She already received a 100% on the French 3R oral exam and a 95% on her violin performance exam!
I am hearing...the washer, my teen on the other computer (she only had 1 mid-term today while I was at work and is home now) laughing at her FB conversation.
Around the house...one load of laundry, upstairs bathroom needs a good cleaning, newspapers to place in recycling bin, weekly menu to finish planning
One of my favorite things..a steaming cup of French Vanilla coffee in late afternoon while reading and having quiet time before the rush of dinner and evening activities
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week....a dermatalogist appt for my teen; grocery shopping; trip to library to return books; researching our church's requirements for Celebration Choir as I am thinking of joining it; a trip to visit a sister if weather permits on Saturday.
A picture thought I'm sharing:

from online Adirondack Photo Gallery
This pic reminds me of a song from my childhood.
We used to sing this at church camp.
Why should I feel discouraged,
why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion?
My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me.
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth,
but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me.
