Friday Faves!

It's Friday! It was a hectic week but a good week. God has taught me alot this week and I will do a devotional type post later in the weekend or early next week about that.

The Lord is teaching me about friends, covenant relationship, reaching out to neighbors, dealing with "junk" from earlier years, and patience. The one main thing I have learned this past summer is that I really cannot do life with out my closest friends (which also includes my husband!), the Word, and actually spending quality time in the Word!

But for now.....here is my list of 5 favorites from this past week.

If you want to play, join up with Susanne over at Living to Tell the Story. Thank you Susanne for hosting this weekly meme! :)

These flowers top my list.
I splurged on these at the local grocery store.

I don't typically buy flowers from that store
as I prefer getting them
from
our local garden shop.

But when I saw these,
I decided they would look nice here
on our
trash container in the kitchen.
They bring a bit of autumn to the room
and do not have a strong scent
so my husband can tolerate them!

This flavor of coffee from DD is
my new autumn fave.

I love a cup of this in the late afternoon
while
I am finishing up housework and overseeing homework.
Yesterday was gorgeous out
and I was blessed enough
to be able
to sit on the deck
in the late afternoon sun
and enjoy 2 cups before
the evening's activities.
Now if I could just get my husband to try this flavor!

These red apples in my glass fruit bowl.
I love baking with apples and making salads with them.
Even just dipping slices of them into Nutella is a fave around here.
My oldest daughter particularly loves that snack.
For tomorrow's dessert,
I plan on baking Apple-Blueberry Crisp.
A definite fave!

This mums bush in my front flower bed.
I love how it came back this year.

I really like yellow mums in autumn.
Because we had much rain for the month of July,
we are now enjoying lush green grass
which is
usually brown by this time
due to extreme heat and dryness;
most of my plants were particularly lush-looking this year.

This contemporary Christian group.
I recently was introduced to their music
by a friend of mine
and I immediately loved their sound!
They have powerful lyrics and awesome music.
My favorites are "Beloved"
and "By Your Side"

A friend gave me my own copy this week....
what a blessing!
So it just HAD to make my fave five list!
If you've never listened to their music, go to You Tube.
Most of their songs are on there.
You can buy it online from CBD!

Do you have any favorite things from this past week?
If so, leave me a comment and let me know.
...or if you do the post, don't forget to hook up at Susanne's!.

HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND, EVERYONE!!

I love those flowers and usually like to buy one for fall decorating too!

Apple crisp is my all time favorite dessert and I just bought 2 big bags of apples. I also have a new apple recipe that I want to try. If it's good I might just have to post it. I read on Jerri's fave five that their fave pizza has apple slices on it. Now that I would love to try!

Mmmm, I'll be over to join ya for some of cinnamon spice coffee. In my thoughts anyway. LOL. Love it.

Your flowers are lovely. My daughter loves eating apples also. She eats one almost every day, whereas I rarely eat one. I need to follow her example. The Tenth Avenue North CD is totally incredible! Glad you're enjoying it, too.

What a great list, Faith. I'm starting to enjoy Ten Avenue North, and my 13-year-old LOVES them. I just got a free MP3 from them earlier today.

Thanks for dropping by my place today, too. I will count it a privilege to be praying for you and your friend as well. Keep me posted as to how things are going.

Apple-blueberry crisp sounds ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! (I had never thought of that before!) Hmmm...inspiration (it doesn't take much).

Love the name of your blog. This is my first time to visit it (through Friday Favs) but I love the meaning.

Thank you for sharing!
