Fellowship with Friends

It's been awhile since my husband and I went out with another couple.
QUITE a while in fact.
We go out fairly often with our children, or relatives, or just each other, for "date nites".

Recently, some new friends of ours invited us out to dinner. Dave and I finally have a free nite to fellowship with them. My oldest and their oldest will be babysitting the younger ones. This works for us!
We love getting together with friends, especially ones we are united in Christ with. Candace and Tim are new friends....but...there is something about being "brothers and sisters in Christ" that makes fellowshipping that much more fun.....there is a great connection in that.

And my husband does need time away with other godly men.
This is a good thing. And it is good for couples to get together to encourage each other and to share with each other.

It is also good for us women to pray for our men.

So I want to re-post something I wrote a long time ago about how to pray for our husbands. Most of the info I received from a Marriage Seminar at our church back when we first joined, about 3 years ago.

Just click on the link below...the post was written in Feb 2008.

Prayer for Husbands

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together..... but let us encourage one another...."
Hebrews 10:24 & 25

and whatever you are doing this weekend, if you are married, try spending a bit of time alone with your spouse.....you'll be glad you did!!
