Random Dozen with Lid

1. Which Wizard of Oz character are you most like?

The movie is great but I've never really thought about which character I am most like! My husband would probably say "wicked witch" during some of my PMS days! lol

2. When you're deciding what you're going to wear each morning, which item do you select first? Why?

Depends on what day it is: if a work day (during school year) then I select a skirt or dress pants first. And actually I choose my clothing the nite before...and have taught my daughters to do the same! If a weekend, I head for my fave jeans!!

3. What kind of animal do you think the world could live without? Um....snakes or slugs (does that count as an animal??)

4. How many Christmas trees are in your home?

Two. One small wooden decorative one and one regular artificial one still in the box...we are putting it up tonite or tomorrow nite depending on how much homework my youngest daughter has!

5. Would you prefer to be emotionless if it mean you didn't have to feel a heartbreak?

I am very emotionally-geared so...I would not want to be emotionless as I believe without emotions it would be tough to express our selves to others, intrinsically, and to the Lord. If there was no heartache, there would be no love or compassion!

6. Do you ever experience holiday let-down or depression?

Not usually. But I do get SAD around mid-January until early March (seasonal affective disorder). I sometimes get the "let down" if I set my expectations for the "perfect" xmas too high but over the years I have learned to just enjoy life, every moment whether good or not so good!

7. Do you like Michael Jackson's music?

I used to in my 20's! Always thought he was amazingly gifted as a musician and dancer.

8. Why is it that we never judge people who have their teeth fixed for cosmetic reasons, but every other cosmetic procedure has a stigma?

wow...just never really think about stuff like this!!

9. Enjoy horseback riding?

I have only gone twice in my life.....loved it each time. My oldest did equestrian sports for 6 years tho and absolutely LOVED it. She misses it!!

10. Shoes--practical or stylish?

Mainly practical but let me tell ya: EVERY woman needs a really awesome pair of high heels or boots each season!!

11. What was the name of your first pet? Feel free to post a pic.

we have no pets and I never did as a child. But my sister has a really nice dog named Mona. And I don't mind that dog. She also has one named Maggie whom I am petrified of. (a huge German Shepherd)

12. What percentage of your Christmas shopping is done?

Most of my shopping for my daughters and hubby is done, thanks to online sales!! I need to finish the grandparents and a friend and we haven't even taken the pic yet for our xmas card. I would say about 85% of my shopping is done. Oh, I still need to get the 5th grade teacher something, and my oldest needs to bring a gift to her friend's party. The ballet teachers are done. And I gave my hair stylist a huge tip yesterday as she is fantastic!!!
