It's Friday!!
I am actually writing this on Thursday afternoon because tomorrow I will be consumed with packing for our trip to France. Everyone in the family is so excited. We have been practicing the language with the help of Courtney, my teen, who has a 97% in French IV and is getting college credit for it. I sure hope whatever college she chooses to accept in another year will actually accept all these college credits she is acquiring in high school!! Her French is quite good and as she speaks, I begin to remember more and more vocabulary. My husband remembers quite a bit and Claire learned some basic vocab this past autumn during the required 6 weeks of French that 5th graders must take. (she is currently taking Spanish but says she prefers French!).
Anyways....I have LOTS of favorite things/events from this past week.
Here are my top 5:
The color is a pretty green, like new grass, and the scent is Basil Cucumber. I LOVE it!!
My purple crocuses opened up on Thursday afternoon! Several of my crocuses didn't survive the rabbit living under our deck all winter.....but...these 3 are up under the cherry tree in the front yard. A sure sign of SPRING!
These new, casual shoes for the girls. They both needed comfortable shoes for walking that are not gym sneakers. These are trendy and so cute, aren't they?? The pink plaid are Claire's and the black with purple/pink are Courtney's. I also bought something similar in plaid pattern. We are all set to walk around Paris in something besides sandals and black flats! (and at Payless prices they are perfect!!)
This bag! This was a "just because I thought you'd like it, Mom" gift from my teen, Courtney. It made my day!! She saw it in Barnes and Noble while shopping for a book with Dave. Her love language is "gifts" as is mine so we both had our emotional tank filled that day! I have been using it for library books. I LOVE the spring colors and the Bible verse!
This photo of my daughters!
Claire is almost as tall as Courtney!
I was trying out my new camera
and caught them fooling around in the dining room.
I cannot imagine my life
without these girls.
I am blessed to be able to raise them
and enjoy them.....time goes by fast!
I am savoring every minute lately........

For some reason I'm really surprised that you guys have required french in grade 5. I thought that was a Canadian thing. Has Courtney ever considered going on a student exchange in Quebec?
I have a nice fresh grass colored candle on my coffee table right now too. Citrus Cilantro from Pier I. Love it too.
Cute sneakers. Have fun putting miles on them in France.
Happy Easter, to you and your family Faith!
And to think you're on your way to France as we comment! How neat!
What a sweet daughter to gift you in that way. They both look precious and like so much fun.
Au revoir! Can't wait to hear and see all about the trip.
Happy Easter.
Trip to France? Wow! Have a great time. I haven’t seen my crocuses bloom yet, but it’s time. Hope they’re out there somewhere. Yours are pretty. As are the shoes and the purse. Have a blessed Easter!
Have a wonderful trip!
Our crocuses have come and gone, but only a few came up this year. I think the neighborhood rabbit is responsible for some of that. Hoppy is cute, but I wish he'd stay out of our gardens.
My daughter is off at her first year in college and she is a french major! I hope you have an absolutely fabulous time in France. What a time for great memories. And...I love the shoes! :)
Great list. What a sweet daughter you have! Both of your daughters are very pretty. Have fun in France!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you & your family have a blessed Resurrection Day!
