Random Dozen: May 19

It's mid-week...and time for the survey questions...the Random Dozen questions put forth by Linda from over here......

These questions are centered all around "the one"

1. What is one really fast, know-by-heart "go-to" meal to fix in a pinch?

Chicken Pot-Pie:  Bake 1 large chicken breast in oven for 40 min.

Cut into bite-sized pieces and place in bottom of lightly sprayed glass casserole dish.  Add 1/2 pkg of frozen mixed veggies that you thaw for 2 min in microwave.  Add to chicken. Add 1 can  cream of chicken soup. In small bowl, combine 1 cup of Bisquick, 1/2 c. milk, and 1 egg.  Stir well. Pour on top of meat mixture.  Bake in 400 degree oven for 30 min. Serve with cut, fresh fruit or sliced ripe tomatoes.

2. What is one item you won't leave home without. (Purse and license do not count.)  cell phone

3. Where is one place you never tire of visiting? Central Adirondacks, Lewey Lake, specifically.

4. Share one factoid of your family's history. we have some Native American blood in our veins...on my dad's side of family...can't remember which tribe.

5. Complete this sentence: "Once upon a time I ...drove a car that was on fire and didn't know it until just before it blew up"

6. If you could win a one year's supply of anything, what would it be? groceries or Green Mountain Coffee, Nantucket Blend

7. "One quirky thing you may not know about me is ...."I have to have all my pencils sharpened.  With perfect points. Always.

8. You have one dollar in your pocket. What will you buy? mcdonald's Sweet Tea, regular size...still only $1. in our parts...

9. "One thing that always makes me laugh is ...."watching the baby ducklings each year in the classroom, on their very first swim

10. What is one thing you could do today to help yourself reach a personal goal? Just go and do it! Don't bother waiting for anyone (hiking each ADK Mt with a firetower is my goal).

11. What is one thing you could do today to bless someone else?

ask the mom just diagnosed with breast cancer what practical things she needs done and then volunteer to do it. (I'll see her at tonite's elementary school concert)

12. What is one thing you're looking forward to soon? kayaking in my new kayak with my husband and stopping for a picnic lunch!
