Lazy Loungin'

Well, this has been a lazy week!  Although we have had some very busy afternoons and evenings, for the most part, life around our house has been very lazy.  And we are lovin' it! We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with my folks here for most of the day (luncheon, gift exchange, dessert & coffee), followed by the church Candlelight Service, followed by a xmas movie.  Christmas Day was just the 4 of us and it was so nice and relaxing!  The weekend was very relaxing and lots of reading was accomplished.

We have lounged around most of the mornings in jammies, waiting until almost noon to take showers....and drinking lots of steaming strong coffee. Eating big breakfasts.  Reading lots of great books.  Digging into the Scriptures.  Watching movies as a family.  Entertaining both sets of grandparents. Eating out with my inlaws at a fantastic local Italian place that is new to us...and fairly new to the area. Yesterday and today my in-laws were here for the dinner out and another gift exchange.  I made a late lunch today and then they returned to their home near Boston.
Tonite my house is filled with about 10 teenagers...all having fun eating pizza, xmas cookies, playing the Wii, singing, playing the piano and guitar......just having fun. It's such a blessing to be able to have the teens hang out at our home.  They are a great group of kids!

Tomorrow, my 12 year old and I head up to the Lake George area to visit my sister Joy and her son.  We plan on spending some time at her house and then going out to lunch at this place. It is one of our most fave places to shop and eat lunch!

This lazy lounging around has been lovely but I think I'm about ready to get back to work and to working out!  But...for now...around our house...we continue to enjoy the week off from work/school, making memories, enjoying the company of family and friends, and just....enjoy the luxury of lounging!

How is your week going??  Did you have a good Christmas?

Do you have plans for New Year's Eve??

We'll be home, I think, enjoying a reprieve from entertaining and traveling...in other words, still engaging in some lazy loungin'!

Nice to see a pic of your Mom and Dad!

We're doing lots of lounging and reading. K. has such a busy life that when she comes home she just likes to relax. And I just really like the freedom of not having to do things and being somewhere of these days too.

New Year's we're spending at my sister's place here in town. We'll play some games, watch some movies and play the Michael Jackson dance game on the Wii. Should be hilarious.
