Wow......I won an award from E-mom from Chrysalis blog. I am honored because I certainly don't think of my blog as a "stylish" one. I am constantly changing the pictures around, the color text isn't working on my sidebar for some reason and I just don't generally think of my self as stylish (other than my clothes and hair maybe??!)
It is sweet of her to nominate me and now I have to do certain things to accept the award:
Here are the Rules
• First, thank and link back to the person who gave you this award
• Second, share 7 things about yourself
• Third, award 15 recently discovered great bloggers
• Then, contact these bloggers and tell them they’ve won this award
So...here are 7 things about myself:
- I am ambidextrous. I write and cut food with my left hand. I play tennis, golf, badminton, baseball & iron and cut with my right hand. I am predominantly left-handed though.
- I married a guy who is totally left-handed.
- Our first-born daughter is ambidextrous but predominantly left-handed.
- Our 2nd(and last) daughter is right handed. (and yes she is our biological child...and yes, I know the last 3 statements are not really about me....oh well!)
- My favorite sport is hiking. I could do it every day from May-November.
- I would rather go out for breakfast than out to dinner.
- I have been a born-again Christian since 1975 and was raised in an evangelical Christian home, but didn't allow the Savior to be Lord over my life until 1987 and didn't even really know what that meant nor entailed until that time.
And now I'd like to pass this blog on to some other blogging buddies who have touched my life in one way or another. Only one of these people from this list is someone I actually know personally. Everyone else is an "internet friend" and yet somehow a connection (emotionally or spiritually) has been made. It's funny how that happens, isn't it?? Now, not all of these people are "recently discovered" bloggers so.....guess I'm bending the rules a bit, eh?
- Kimberly of Kimberly's Expressions...a new blogging friend.
- Karen of Sower's Corner....a very godly friend of mine since the late 1980's...and the person who first introduced me to blogging! Her website also includes a link to her beautiful handmade cards which she sells online. Check it out!
- Kathie from Island Sparrow. The photos she displays on her site always inspire me and the music is always so soothing. And since she is a blogger from PEI, I am always interested in her pictures...it is my dream to one day do some kayaking, biking, and hiking on PEI with my husband. I'm living vicariously through her blog for now :)
- Cindy from Hats and Hospitalitea. I just discovered Cindy's blog via the Friday Fave Fives weekly meme. When I visit Cindy's site, it seems like I could pull up a comfy chair, sip some steaming hot tea or coffee and just relax and chat.
- Beth from Eating Clean. Beth is actually from my hometown and my childhood church. She was born when I was a teen and my youngest sister was actually good friends with her....we reconnected via Facebook. Her blog always has great meal plans and recipes!
- Susanne from Living to Tell the Story. She is one of the people whom I feel like I really know yet we have never met. She is the host of one of my fave memes (Friday Fave Fives). She is a godly woman who loves books! I get lots of reading material ideas from her site.
- Little Women of the 21st Century This is a fairly new blog to me. I like visiting it...it's always uplifting!
- Sandy from Jesus and Dark Chocolate. Again, this is someone who is almost a kindred spirit. She is also a special ed teacher and loves hiking! Her blog is inspiring to me and very real. She is a very godly woman and I am honored to know her through blogging and Facebook.
Ok....that's not 15 but...I am having major computer problems. I am currently borrowing my husband's laptop to finish this post. He needs it back when he gets home from leading his small group of high school boys. My laptop just, well, cleared itself. Of everything. All of my pictures from the last 12 months (Thank the Lord I put most of them on Facebook and the Paris ones on Snapfish.). Any documents were lost. Basically, everything that my husband installed for me for my little laptop has disappeared. Something popped up when I logged in earlier today after work and I hit what I thought was the correct button to make it go away. Well.....um....suffice it to say that THANK YOU JESUS that I am married to a computer geek who can restore everything. Well, except the photos and the Valentines letter I was writing to a friend. :( those are gone. But....he'll work on it this week in his free time....and meanwhile, I'll be off of here because writing in the basement office area during the winter is not warm.
and we are due for yet more snow. Alot of it.
Have a happy week everyone! Hopefully I"ll be back for the Friday Fave Fives.

Thanks Faith. With my blogging lately, I don't know if I can come up with 15 (15! Oy!) but I'll do what I can. :v)
