The Simple Woman hosts a pleasant meme each Monday of the month called The Daybook....a place where we take time to reflect on the various parts of our day....those simple, everyday things.....feel free to join in by clicking on the link above and following her guidelines.
Although today is Tuesday....I'm posting my Daybook today....
FOR TODAY
Outside my window...ice-coated branches, slowly dripping in the mid-afternoon sun, nuthatches at the feeder, bunny prints across the snow, bright blue sky
I am thinking...about the upcoming evening
I am thankful for...the warmth of the sun!
From the kitchen...tuna salad, raw veggie platter, melon slices (I'm just home from work and enjoying lunch!)
I am wearing...the clothes I went to the classroom in: grey chinos, black sweater, grey sox, pewter earrings
I am creating...a list of items needed for a birthday party we are attending later in the month
I am going...to the high school in one hour to pick up my teenager, to the elementary school in 2 hours to pick up my preteen from rehearsal, and then on to the ballet studio for her ballet class....
I am reading...Crazy Love by Francis Chan & The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo by Stieg Larsson
I am hoping...that yesterday was our last snow storm for the year!
I am hearing...the faint hum of the dishwasher and the sump pump in the basement
Around the house...vacuuming awaits in the family room, and a load of laundry is waiting by the washer
One of my favorite things...a foot massage by my darling hubby!
A few plans for the rest of the week: teaching every morning, housework in the afternoons, organizing the file cabinet, finishing a photo album, a trip to Hobby Lobby, a trip to the library, and an afternoon with one of my sisters to visit an art gallery
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
What are you thinking on this afternoon??
Are you creating anything?? What's cooking in your kitchen??
come back tomorrow for TWO new side dish recipes and a slow-cooker chicken recipe.....we tried all 3 this last week and they are yummy!!

Sounds like a peaceful day at your place. Yesterday I made my Crockpot Chicken Ciaccatore. Yummy and I made enough for leftovers tonight. With hubby not home at supper now due to work it's getting harder to be motivated to cook big dinners.
You'll have to let me know how The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is.
I was thinking the same thing.. sounds like a wonderful day at your house! A great outlook on your day. :)
It's fun to take a peek into the intimate details of your day.
