This is a crazy busy week for me......and for my daughters....in fact, the next 8 weeks are very busy....my oldest graduates in 9 more Saturdays and my youngest graduates in 9 more Thursdays.....just 8 weeks of classes left.....the oldest has her AP Calculus exam this week and I have so much to do before the weekend arrives and we celebrate Mother's Day.
So....I am not participating in the Marriage Monday's for the months of May and June......I am much less busy come summer so will write for that blog at that time (sorry E-Mom!).....hopefully we will have some great topics for the summer months and I look forward to participating come July.
I will be back here on Friday for the weekly FIVE FAVES hosted by Susanne.
At dinner tonite, it dawned on me that so very often, we pride ourselves on being busy. Yet.....being busy is not always a good thing. I can become stressed when too busy and stress is not a good thing.
I also can become complacent with my walk with God during very busy times...and our pastor just preached about which "chair" we sit in: are we sitting in the committed chair (spiritually speaking?) or the compromised chair or complacent chair?? I certainly want to be sitting in the committed chair. And I have 2 ministries I am currently leading and I really need to be in top form this week. Blogging is a great outlet for my journaling of thoughts, meditative contemplations, and just writing about my family and friends. It isn't as distracting as Facebook (which I am rarely on anymore due to the waste of time that it is!). Because I need to lead my small group on Thursday nite, and have a nice, clean, organizied home for my friends to relax in, and I also need to lead the Moms in Touch group this week right after work on Friday, I am beginning to feel overwhelmed. And for me, that is not a good thing.
So, as much as I enjoy writing......I must take a little break this week and next. Errands, last minute prom gown shopping (groan), Study prep, prayer prep, window washing, and baking all must be done by Sunday......but...I am so thankful for the fresh mown grass my husband cut over the weekend, and for the warmer temps, beautiful sunshine, and the longer days......
Now on to my "to do" list!!
See you soon and enjoy the week!!

oh the joys of being a mom, we are ever so busy. I keep forgetting to get the camera cord from my daughter to download her prom pics to my blog, she is going to school and working M-F so I don't see her much during the week. I Can't believe our babies are graduating this year, man time sure does fly. My daughter graduates in 5 Sundays and my 12 year old graduates in 4 Thursdays, boo hoo. Well I totally understand about being busy so keep your head up and enjoy the last few weeks. God Bless!!
Oh, I know what busy is like! We've been so busy this spring preparing for a move to a sunnier clime. No definitive plans as yet, but we keep pressing forward. My blogging has suffered, and I keep hoping to get back into the groove. Maybe another week or so.
We missed you for Marriage Monday yesterday, but I know you'll jump in again when you can. Congrats to both your daughters... can't believe graduation is just around the corner.
(((Hugs))) e-Mom
