Time to journal those treasures He shows....I'm up to 140 on the 1000 gifts missions.....i'm finding this challenge to be good for the soul :)
there was a rainstorm last nite and another one today.......hard to find the blessings in dashed plans...the anticipation put on hold...holding instead hands that are full of busy-ness....of preparing for a new normal....yet I need to find the God treasures...the gifts in today.....

...days of packing, planning, pondering......and procrastinating. Although some days I feel like I'm in a slump and have wasted hours....He shows this tired mind that there is no waste when living simply....when trying to focus on the One who brings the good gifts.....so I plan, and pack, and ponder all the good things He shows....the blessings amidst the storms......
~~morning glory looped around chimes gently swaying in early breeze~~
~~sun ripened blackberries~~
~~sunburnt arms hugging my neck.....her little girl breath on my cheeks....her tween, thin ballerina legs draped over mine...and the pleasure of snuggling on a rainy evening in our cotton jams curled under the quilt....
~~the rich, warm smell of French Vanilla coffee in steaming mugs on a chilly air-conditioned evening~~and the teenager thanking mom for this simple pleasure....~~morning glory looped around chimes gently swaying in early breeze~~

~~the splashing of rain hitting steamy pavement.....beginning to cool the air....and savoring the fresh, sweet smell~~flinging wide the windows open~~
~~clearing away the mind clutter.....allowing hands to relax from busyness....finding thankfulness in the simple pleasure of a storm.....
We plow the fields and scatter the good seed on the land..But it is fed and watered by God's almighty hand..He sends us snow in winter, the warmth to swell the grain...The breezes and the sunshine, and soft refreshing rain...
All good gifts around us
Are sent from Heaven above
So thank the Lord, oh thank the Lord for all his love...
