New Directions.....Familiar Treasures.....

It's almost 8 in the morning here in Buzzards Bay (that's the Cape Cod region for those of you who don't reside in the East Coast area).  As I walked on the beach this morning, I was praying for our eldest daughter, Courtney.....our "princess" as she was first known here on the blog.  Oh, how she's grown!  Oh, what a new direction she is taking as she begins her first day of classes up at Gordon College, the only Evangelical Christian college in New England.  It is so exciting! We are confident we are leaving her in good hands.....strong faith-based professionals, students, and staff.  But this isn't an ad for Gordon.....basically, my heart is full of the treasures that God has kept familiar for me over the last 11 years of coming to this beach house for a brief respite from the suburban, NY life.  Life is slower here....if we make it slower.  Beauty is all around us, and although I miss my mountains of eastern/northern NY, I see many familiar treasures to add to my 1000 gifts from God hunt.

Treasures familiar.....yet always changing with the tides and winds of time...and nature......God's Hand in it all......

.........life savers......lined up, ready to serve.....so familiar lined up in a row on lines and racks...kayaks, sailboats quiet on the beach......

.....sea shell treasures from my little girl......

.....sea-gull feather in early morning beach sun......

.....footprints on the beach....walking...in new directions....yet familiar setting.......

Thank you God for these good gifts!

Hi Faith. I'm just getting back on the computer after vacation. I have been thinking of you all week knowing you were dropping Courtney off. Hopefully you've had time to process this big change and had some time with the Lord to ease you through. I know how busy it can be.
