My oldest daughter, Courtney, and I were introduced to Nutella when she was about 3 years old.
Her cousin, Hanna, is the one who got us hooked. Hanna was 5 and loved this stuff......my sister in law said she would eat it on bread, croissants, fruit, etc. We were hooked! I go through about one jar a week!
And....in the latest issue of Simple and Delicious there is a brownie recipe that lists this marvelous spread as one of the ingredients. So I'm sharing it with you!
WARNING! this recipe is high in cholesterol and sugar.........
The official title of the recipe is:
PEANUT BUTTER HAZELNUT BROWNIES
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c flour
3/4 c. baking cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
dash of salt
1 1/2 c. coarsely crushed malted milk balls
1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. Nutella
- Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in vanilla.
- Add in the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold in malted milk balls.
- Spread into greased 13x9 inch baking pan.
- Combine pb and nutella in small bowl and microwave at 50% power or until smooth for 2 minutes,stirring after each minute.
- Drizzle over the batter and cut through with a knife to swirl.
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Check with a knife or toothpick. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
- Cool, cut into squares and keep in an air-tight container.

YES susanne I think you did...we don't really eat popcorn much but I am definitely making these brownies for when Court comes home in March!!
