Mom Musings.......

Paris, France

I get to do this!!

I get to be a mom!

I cannot imagine my life with out my daughters..........yet I remember my life with out my daughters.....and it was soooo different!

Every stage has been full of adventure.......at least that's how I like to look at life as a mom.

For the last 18 years I've experienced the joy, the pain, the tears, the laughter, the frustrations, the fun, the fear, the faith........

from cotton diapers piled neatly on the shelf to toys tumbling over each other, often off that shelf..........and a pre-teen tumbling all through-out the family room....

from sippy cups of milk and juice to water bottles and fresh fruit......

tiny fingers clutching my hand.....to sturdy hands clutching the wheel........

brilliant smiles and running feet to sullen looks and dragging feet.......

from the frustrated fours to the tempestuous teens......and all that lies in-between.....

all these moments...slipping like sand through hands.....

18 almost 19 and 13 going on 14......precious blessings from my God........

I cannot imagine my life without my daughters in it......

I am so thankful I get to do life as a mom........

THANK YOU, GOD!!

Happy Mother's Day to you, too, Faith. We are so blessed, aren't we? Through the rough and easy, the good and the bad -- it's great to be a mom.

I can't find your email (again!), so could you shoot me an email? If you need to find mine, it's on the Mom Speaks tab on my blog.

Hoping you had a great Mother's Day!
What a privilege God has given us to be moms. It has been a ride that's for sure and I would do the MOM thing all over again!

Moments like these do slip through our hands like sand - our children change so quickly!! What a great bunch of pictures. Inspired me not to yell "quiet down" next time my girls decide to tumble through house - first enjoy it for a moment!

aww Happy Mother's Day!! This was a great blog post! I'm reading the books you lent to me about teens and hoping to become a better STEPmom and understand the teen more [groan]
Um, by the way, you did COTTON diapers?

Faith said...

LOL YES melanie....i only did organic cotton diapers for claire and regular cotton diapers for the oldest. Both girls had cotton diaper services. IT WAS GREAT! NO fake plastic diapers on MY babies bottoms meant NO DIAPER RASH!! those pampers, etc. have chemicals. I was totally into the whole earthy, natural thing with my babies. but i only nursed until about 6 months and then they had bottles and cups. and no pacifiers. UGH!!!

I hate pacifiers! Only one child in my daycare uses one; the others never did. I don't think I could do cloth if I had a baby. ICK!! But a diaper service would help...right? Or do they only deliver and not clean?? I can imagine it saves on the diaper rash though. Hate those : (

The cloth diaper service i had for my daughters did the cleaning....i simply dropped in the sanitized bucket that had a freshener thingy..the room NEVER smelled...and they picked up one day a week and delivered clean fresh diapers the same day! :) was soooooooo worth it! i kinda miss those days.kind of.
