so it's June...........
and with it's arrival comes three weeks of whirlwind activities...........
.........and I reflect on my baby...my youngest daughter....all 14 years of long, lean legs and dancing feet and twirling hair and bright, blue eyes with the long black lashes.........
and I sigh............
...........she says good bye to junior high soon............
...................and the schedule says she is in all honors classes and there will be so much work and so many activities and church youth group events and ballet work and violin lessons and dances and clubs and
when did she stop being a little girl??
and when did my roses bloom and the lilacs dry up and the bills mount up and the floors not get washed.............
will this year ever end?
and why can't we freeze time and stop it in its tracks................
and I look at the calendar and I see evenings packed full...........
............and I see in-laws coming in to town and I see the Dance Show and a day with grampy and gramma
and I see a graduation party. or 2. or 3.
and I see the Awards Ceremony and the Formal Dance and the Father's Day traditions and the exams and the meals to be planned and the shopping to be done and I say
GOD I NEED YOUR HELP FOR STRENGTH AND PEACE
I see commitments when I just want to get to the mountains and I see friends waiting for that lunch date and I see small group lessons to prepare and a new group to lead and I cry.....
THANK YOU GOD FOR YOUR HELP AND STRENGTH AND PEACE
and for the community among Believers who are in the same season...........
with a heart of gratitude I say Thank you God for each busy moment, each event that shapes this young teen, each moment that shapes my almost 20 year old (ALMOST 20!!!) and I say thank you God for that husband who does what he can after his long day................
and I say Thank you God for each season you bring me...........
Thank you God, it's almost over...........
dear readers: as you can read, I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed with all the "end of the year"(school year) activities. We have a LOT that is packed into these last 15 days of school. And we have obligations on the weekends until the end of the month. Therefore I need to take a blogging break. I definitely will be back in about 2-3 weeks.......for now, please pray that my ballerina girl will do well on Friday evening (she has a pointe solo this year AND is dancing both classes in the show on pointe. She also has a lyrical ballet piece with that class. See you soon! Enjoy the rest of the spring season!!

Praying for peace and the grace needed to manage the busy days ahead. :)
Enjoy the blogging break and everything happening with your teen. They grow up so fast and soon enough all that running around will cease.
