I'm weary of work and it's only been 3 days since we returned from spring break!
The week so far has been tough on the little boy I assist in school. Kindergarten this time of year is a busy place....and he has had some very difficult moments in school...........today was quite the day........
and then the after school activities that my teen is involved in means I am driving all over town.......
and cooking dinner at a different time each evening (which I deplore).........and doing laundry late in to the night, or grocery shopping late in the day........and reading for pleasure when I'm waiting in the car...or texting friends while waiting in the car.....or listening to praise and worship music while waiting in the car.....
I'm in the car a lot!
And yet.......I don't feel overwhelmed this week...........
I'm learning to breathe in, breathe out.
To embrace each moment.
To trust the One who gives us breath.................
to keep my eyes on Him and His plans for me.............
To pray while showering, folding clothes, making lunches, wiping down sinks
To continue in my quiet time and my walking for fitness time.......
To continue to press in to the One who brings relief from stress...........
Because He is Truth.......so I walk in Truth........
Because He is the way......so I walk His way..........
He is the One who gives us breath each day and the peace we need in the busyness of life........
because He is Life........
............He is.

Thanks for this post. I am like you - always so busy and running, running, running. This month has been especially bad due to finishing up two grad level classes. I am missing a meeting tonight because I am exhausted. I am going to try better to slow down a bit and let Jesus take my burdens - consciously hand those things I cannot handle over to Him and let Him take care of it. Thanks again for this post.
Oh my goodness I'm glad I decided to catch up on blogging tonight, I needed to read this!! All last week, Joe wasn't moving around much because his umbilical hernia got much worse and his surgery was Friday. I spent all week working 9-10 hours a day (I had a helper for a few hours each day but I never really got a "break"), piano lessons, housework, dog walking, errands and taking care of Joe. After surgery Friday, I was overly exhausted. I'm still exhausted. But this is a nice reminder...that He is still God no matter what and He will give me strength through the business of life and, well, He is.
It's been a busy week around here too, that kind where I have to catch my moments of peace when I can. He will meet us where ever, whether it's in our car or in our living room.
