I'm joining Jerralea's Journey blog as we number gifts He's given us during the month of November. Each day I'll be sharing five things that I am thankful for. Doing that for 30 days will produce 150 things we are grateful for...and it's easy to find those gifts if we take a moment to look. You are welcome to join in! Just head over to Jeri's!
Today I am thankful for things that begin with S!
- Sales. I love the online sales this time of year. I've done most of my Xmas shopping for my daughters this way and everything so far has been on sale except for one thing!
- Surprises in the mail. I received a book from a blogging friend. Lovely surprise.
- Socks. I love my thick sox that I wear around the house. These cold autumn days warrent thick sox or slippers.
- Saving grace. I'm so thankful for the saving grace of Jesus. I can't imagine going through life without Him.
- Stillness. I'm continuing to practice the presence of God and today after work will be the perfect time to just "be still and know....". Some of you know that the word of the year for me for 2014 has been "Still" based on the Scripture from Psalm that says "Be still and know that I am God". I've written several posts, all under the "Word of the Year Thoughts" label, about spending time in the presence of God and practicing being still so we can hear that still small Voice that brings power to our lives.
What are you thankful for today?

I'm going to look up those posts on being still and practicing His presence, Faith.
Loved your list today!
I also have a favorite pair of thick socks. Love them. I have a hard time sitting still to experience God's presence but I'm learning. I'm praying about what my one word will be next year. Have a blessed day.
Great post today - I love alliteration. I have been working on being "still" before God myself. My word of the year is abiding - which requires stillness as well.
Have an awesome day!
Great post. I love how you used words that started with S. Blessings
My favorite of your "S's" is the stillness. I rarely have that. Must work on that.
LOVE cozy socks in the fall/winter!
