For Today
Looking out my window...
taken from the sliding glass door to deck at around 8 am |
I am thinking... about how the classroom is functioning today as I took a sick day to nurse a sore throat.
I am thankful... for golden autumn sunshine
One of my favorite things...
I am wearing... black leggings, white vee neck tank top under yellow/tan/cream/black flannel shirt and black fuzzy socks, silver hoop earrings, my birthstone, my wedding rings and my fitbit
I am creating...
autumnal decor for the deck and dining room |
I am watching... golden leaves blowing in the morning breeze out my family room
our tallest maple in the backyard morning light |
I am reading...
and Revelation 22: 1-13
I am listening to... The wind chimes on the deck and wind blowing the leaves.....and this song in the background (it's powerful, give it a listen)
I am hoping... this sore throat goes away by tomorrow and my allergy headaches leave for the rest of 2022!
In the garden...
spring flowers still blooming among the pumpkins and leaves |
Rose bush still going strong here in eastern NY! |
In the kitchen... vegan fish tacos for dinner with salsa and blue tortilla chips; Swedish Apple pie for dessert

Peggy also has "In the homeschool room...." Well I am blessed that we live in one of the highest rated (academically speaking) public school districts in the Capital Region of NY and that my daughters were able to attend elementary, junior high and then high school here. So I never felt like I "had" to homeschool. Plus, they thrived in their faith in public school and had many friends from youth group who attended the same schools. Thankfully, both girls have their BS and BA degrees from the college/university of their choice (the oldest went to a small private faith-based college in Boston and the youngest went to a large public university on the coast of NH) and are now at ages 29 and 23, working and living on their own! Glory to God for the things He has done. I loved their school days but I'm also happy to be an empty nester and still teaching special needs prek children.
HAVE A HAPPY DAY!
