It's American Idol nite! Tonite we watch the 8 male singers.....our favorites are still on so......go Luke, David, and Michael!
And....it's a Tuesday... Claire has ballet if this downpour doesn't turn into freezing rain/sleet. Last week ballet was cancelled due to snow we were getting which just turned into 4 inches but still....a mess for commuters! I am assuming the dance director will cancel class tonite if this rain turns icy.
I am also a day late posting my menu plan for the week. We have a hectic week. Tomorrow nite is Wed which means Courtney has her life::group (weekly small group for 9th grade girls). Thursday evening is her Orchestra Concert and my in-laws will be arriving from the Boston area to have dinner with us and then attend the concert. Friday evening my husband leaves for the junior high Youth for Christ retreat in Saratoga Springs and Courtney will be out all evening attending a birthday party for her BFF. That leaves just Claire and I for "family movie nite" at our house.
Saturday a.m. is another full dress rehearsal for Claire at church and then the 2 girls and I will travel to Lake George area to visit my pregnant sister, her hubby and their almost 5 year old, Emma. Emma turns 5 on Easter Sunday so we are bringing her gifts to her early as we have plans for Easter. I had to really think of quick meals for this week due to many evening events. As usual, my menu is always flexible depending on what comes up!
- Mon: Cheddar Cheeseburgers, Spinach Salad with Aisan Sesame Dressing, Fresh Grapes/Strawberries
- Tues: Homemade Chicken PotPie, leftover squash, Ice Cream with Minty Cookie Crush
- Wed: Creamy Potato Stix with Added Ham, Steamed French Green Beans
- Thurs: Linguine with Zippy Spaghetti Sauce, Tossed Salad, Garlic Bread (dessert after concert: Pumpkin Chip Bread)
- Fri: Subs from Subway for Claire and I; Courtney to Shauna's, Dave to Saratoga
- Sat.: Slow-cooked Chicken Soup, French Bread, Raw Veggie Platter, ice cream sundaes
So, around our house, we are busy, but hey....at least the snow is melting!!
