Oh my goodness!I am totally blown away...the ONE nite I don't watch the entire American Idol show, they go and wow everyone.
THEY PERFORMED A WORSHIP SONG! A full blown worship to the Lord song!!
A song we do in church!! That born again Believer sing!

It was amazing, wasn't it? There is lots going around the net questioning the motives, questioning what's the point when most of the singers aren't believers, etc. My take on it is, who cares? And who am I to say that the Lord cannot use that moment in the lives of those singers to reach them, or motives of a producer to not reach someone sitting alone in their homes. I say let the Holy Spirit move!
I hope your Tivo recorded the whole thing. The show actually went about 15 minutes longer than was listed in the scheduling. My PVR shut it down but I had been forewarned so recorded the end part when it came on in the western time zone.
Oh, I know! Who cares what the motives were???? The Lord is glorified when praises are sung to Him...and..ok, they changed the word "Jesus" to Shepherd...well...He IS the Good Shepherd!!! I say Yeah for those producers!
My jaw dropped last night when I heard what they were going to sing! And my first thought was - I can already tell my blogging friends will be talking about this one! And then I hoped that some of the contestants are actually christians and maybe they are witnessing to the others!
I only wish they didn't have the bleep, bleeps with Ben Stiller afterward, ya know?
