Work at Home Moms Week
"Balancing professional life and motherhood is never easy - and especially not for those moms who work at home." (picture and quote taken from Daily Holidays on the Net website)
So.....if you are a mom who has a home business or who works for a company from your home office, our hats are off to you!
And remember to take a few minutes each day for your self!
AND: this week is also known as "National Backyard Games Week"

So, grab a kickball and have a rousing game with the children after dinner and homework.
Enjoy a special dessert when the game is done. Have the winning team clean up the dishes!
OR: play some of the old-fashioned games like these:

OR: play some of the old-fashioned games like these:
- Red Light Green Light (for ages 4-7)
- Mother, May I? (ages 4-7)
- HopScotch (ages 6-10)
- Red Rover, Red Rover (ages 6-10)
- Relay Races (ages 5-14)
- Jump Rope games (ages 8-14)
- Wiffle ball (ages 5-adult)
- Croquet (ages 4-adult)
- Badminton (ages 8-adult)
One of our favorite backyard games is badminton. My husband and I get our after dinner exercise by playing a game on an evening when there are no church activities, school functions or extracurricular lessons to shlep a kid to....it is great exercise, equipment is cheap and ya don't need a net...which is a good thing because the boys from Youth Group broke ours at the last big backyard bash!
Whatever you choose to play, have fun! And remember: teach your child how to be a good sport, how to lose graciously or....just don't keep score...just do it for fun! ENJOY!

When I worked with the 3 and 4 year olds in Awana we used to play Cubbie, May I! LOL! That was so much fun watching little ones learning to hop and count at the same time.
And when I was little Red Rover was my very favorite game; although I was very weak and rarely broke through! Sigh.
If it quits raining this week I'll have to get out a frisbee or something so we can play outside and enjoy the fresh air!
These are great for family fun. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Lol, I love croquet! I just found our set buried in our garden tool area today. Yippee. (I'm doing lots of major yard work this week.)
